This forum brings together education and national service experts for an important policy discussion about the unique role that national service can play to keep students on the path to graduation. To address the education crisis in America, City Year is working with other leaders in the national service field to lay the groundwork for the expansion of AmeriCorps and the creation of an Education Corps. Housed within the AmeriCorps framwork, the Education Corps would grow to 150,000 member cadre of tutors, teachers, and volunteers focused on helping students from high-poverty communities succeed.
