The City Year leadership development model is designed to guide you through a challenging and adventurous “city year.”
Civic Leadership Competencies Throughout the year, City Year staff will guide you towards improving your skills in the following six civic leadership competencies: - Team Leadership

Each Friday is an opportunity for you to learn more about important social issues, receive valuable service-related training, or explore the local community. You’ll meet with experts about social issues, learn how to effectively plan projects and lead teams, and reflect on what you are learning from your service experiences.
